Technical portfolio, practical labs, problem solving.

Hi, I'm Damian.

I built this site as both a portfolio and a working knowledge base for my path in IT.

I like learning how things work, but even more why they work the way they do. That usually leads to better troubleshooting, clearer documentation, and more useful projects in the long run.

What I Work On

Most of what I build sits around Linux, Microsoft 365 administration, networking, home lab systems, Git, GitHub Actions, and hands-on lab work. I’m most interested in the practical side of systems: how they work, how they fail, and how they can be improved.

How I Work

I build a lab, test an idea, see how it behaves, and write down what matters. I keep notes in Obsidian as I go, the tools I used, the choices I made, what went wrong, and how I checked the result. Then I shape those notes into a project page that shows what I did and what I learned. The aim is to leave a useful record behind, something I can come back to, understand quickly, and build on later.

Why This Site Exists

This site is where I keep the work that matters to me. It holds the projects I build, the things I learn, and the notes I want to keep useful. It gives me one place to organise ideas, keep track of progress, and come back to technical decisions when I need them again. It also shows how I work in practice. Real projects, clear notes, and explanations that reflect what I actually did.
